March 27,  2013. Welcome    to this week's newsletter.  We are very excited about a couple of things. First, home prices continue to rebound at an even faster pace than anyone expected. Second, we're publishing our very first 10 best places for international retirement list. Hope you like it.

Our list will be a departure from the lists you see promoted so often from International Retirement. Call us spoiled, but we don't really see the attraction of 3rd world countries for retirement living.   We're looking for input, so please share your experiences and expectations.
Long Beach, CA
Long Beach could have easily made last week's list of walkable cities with its high Walk Score of 66.4.  This city south of LA has many attractions beyond its beaches. It is also one of the better options if you decide you can't leave that California lifestyle behind.

When you can buy a nice 2 bedroom condo for less than $27,000, who cares if you are a little younger than most of your neighbors. This New York Times article has some interesting things to think about.
Holland, MI
Owing to its early settlers, Holland has its own tulip festival and distinctive Dutch architecture. This popular tourist community on the shores of Lake Macatawa was once named by Money Magazine as a top place to retire.
